What is an SGX? It’s a male homo-sapien between the ages of twenty and thirty annuals located near Baltimore, MD with an affinity for and skill in writing/producing some of the most mind-catching auditory patterns (“music”) you’ll ever come across.
SGX employs the synthetic, the acoustic, the modern, the retro, the ambient, the upbeat, the heavy, the light, and the imagination aesthetic to tell listeners a story and illustrate worlds.
Killer beats and biting synth riffs might rock your face as well if you are game.
In addition to solid tunage, SGX designs graphics, audio, music, and animation for indie videogame developer BigBot Systems, and runs the Protagonist Records blog and electronic music store.
SGX tracks have been spotted in the wild in media such as Pump It Up Pro 2, APB (PC Game), o2Jam, FlashFlashRevolution, Stepmania, Area5′s CO-OP Show on Revision3, and more.
(Breaking out of third person, here) I believe in sharing lots of free music. Not only is it kickass to have more people enjoying it, free stuff is a good way to get attention. The majority of my catalog is available for free download via this site. Some tracks, some longer versions of tracks, and higher quality copies of tracks are held for the albums I sell. These are for the serious fans who want to support me. I love sharing my music, but beyond the (fun) effort of making it, it costs me money and a TON of time to actually share it with you (this site didn’t build itself. I did!). Buy some tunes and I’ll be that much closer to doing music business 9-5, and actually relaxing at night! Or, if you’re cheap, link five of your friends to my music and call it a day. One of them might buy something!
